Aotea provides hospital level care for older people in a caring, family friendly environment. We have provided compassionate care to older people in Wellington for over 20 years.
We have 40 beds and top quality facilities and our tranquil courtyards are perfect for enjoying regular visits from your family and friends.
Residents enjoy wonderful companionship, close contact with their community groups and a varied and interesting recreation programme.
Our experienced staff spend time getting to know each resident so we can tailor our services to suit their unique needs and interests.
Day activity programme
Aotea Home offers a day activity programme for older people who live elsewhere or those with a disability, on weekdays from 10am to 3.30pm. Transport can often be arranged. Day activities may also be accessed as a part of residents' support plan.
Respite care
If you are caring for an older person occasionally you need time out to refresh. Aotea Home provides a place for the person you care for while you get the rest you need.
It's a flexible service to suit you.
Respite care may be funded by your local District Health Board or it can be arranged directly with us and funded privately.
Hospital care
Our highly trained team delivers hospital level services in a warm, caring environment for people with complex needs. Aotea Home works with local GPs to ensure our clients' medical needs are met. Residents may choose to retain a relationship with their own GP if this is practical.
Convalescence Care
When convalescing after surgery or illness it is important to know support systems are in place. Enliven's Convalescent Care can arrange to have registered nurses and trained support workers on hand. This can be for a couple of days or even a few weeks. The service is offered in your own home or in one of ours.
Access our services
Accessing any of our services is easy and worry-free. You can be referred by a needs assessment agency or your doctor, or you can call us directly. Enliven will fit around your requirements - all you need to do is ask.
