Rest Home
Moving into residential care can be a positive decision for everyone concerned. Our Rest Home supports older people who cannot manage at home. Enabling you to maintain your independence and privacy in home-like surroundings is our goal.
Hospital care
Our highly trained team delivers hospital level services in a warm, caring environment for people with complex needs. Chalmers Home works with local GPs to ensure our clients' medical needs are met. Residents may choose to retain a relationship with their own GP if this is practical.
Day activity programme
Chalmers offers a day activity programme for older people who live elsewhere or those with a disability, on week days from 10am to 3.30pm. Transport can often be arranged. Day activities may also be accessed as a part of clients support plan.
Respite care
If you are caring for an older person, occasionally you need time out to refresh. Chalmers provides a place for the person you care for while you get the rest you need. It's a flexible service to suit you.
Respite care may be funded by your local District Health Board or you can arrange it with us directly and pay for it privately.

Accessing any of our services is easy and worry-free. You can be referred by a needs assessment agency or your doctor, or you can call us directly. Enliven will fit around your requirements - all you need to do is ask.
