Coombrae has been providing top quality care and companionship for older people in the Manawatu for over 35 years. Just 2km from Feilding town centre, Coombrae is set in a tranquil semi-rural environment with beautifully maintained grounds.

Coombrae supports older people who cannot manage at home, enabling them to maintain their independence and privacy in home-like surroundings. Our services are designed to take care of residents' day-to-day needs and emotional wellbeing while maintaining strong links with their families and wider community.
We have 32 single rooms where residents can receive the exact level of care that they need.
Recreation programme
Our interesting and varied recreation programme includes:
- arts and crafts
- indoor bowls
- floral arranging
- school concerts and plays
- piano recitals
- line dancing.
Rest Home
Moving into residential care can be a positive decision for everyone concerned. Our Rest Home supports older people who cannot manage at home. Enabling you to maintain your independence and privacy in home-like surroundings is our goal.
Day Activity Programme
Coombrae Home offers a day activity programme for older people who live elsewhere or those with a disability, on week days from 10am to 3.30pm. Transport can often be arranged. Day activities may also be accessed as a part of residents' support plan.
Dementia care
At Coombrae Home we look beyond the diagnosis and treat people with dementia as individuals, recognising their life experiences. We have the resources and networks to ensure the best possible quality of life of all concerned.
Our care for people with dementia includes safe, peaceful environments that foster companionship with other residents. We offer a varied and meaningful recreation programme that includes regular outings and close contact with community groups including the local Alzheimer's Association.
Respite care
If you are caring for an older person, occasionally you need time out to refresh. Coombrae Home provides a place for the person you care for while you get the rest you need. It's a flexible service to suit you.
Respite care may be funded by your local District Health Board or you can arrange it with us directly and pay for it privately.
Licence to Occupy Villas
Coombrae has 20 villas where residents maintain their independence with the peace of mind of knowing help is nearby if they need it.
