Huntleigh Home provides compassionate care and wonderful companionship for older people in Wellington.
Set in the heart of Karori, Huntleigh offers luxurious accommodation and facilities, beautifully landscaped grounds and courtyards.
We have single and double rooms offering peace and privacy with professional care on hand. Our services are designed to take care of residents' day-to-day need and emotional wellbeing while maintaining strong links with their families and wider community.
Recreation Programme
Residents at Huntleigh enjoy a varied range of interesting and lively activities.
Moving into residential care can be a positive decision for everyone concerned. Our Rest Home supports older people who cannot manage at home. Enabling you to maintain your independence and privacy in home-like surroundings is our goal.
Rest Home
Huntleigh offers full hospital level care. We have qualified registered nurses and support staff.
Respite Care
If you are caring for an older person, occasionally you need time out to refresh. Huntleigh provides a place for the person you care for while you get the rest you need. It's a flexible service to you.
Respite care may be funded by your local District Health Board or you can arrange it directly with us and pay for it privately.
Community Support
We can visit older people in their homes and assist with household tasks and personal care by arrangement.
Licence to Occupy Apartments
Licence to occupy apartments allow residents to enjoy an active and independant lifestyle, confident that assistance is close at hand when needed.
Convalescence
We can look after people as they recover from surgery or illness. Our registered nurses and trained support staff provide meals and help with personal care for as long as required. This can be in our Home or yours.
