Levin Home provides specialist care for retired service men and women from throughout New Zealand. But someone doesn't have to be a war veteran to stay here. We welcome any older person who would feel comfortable in this unique and very caring environment.
The home is set in spacious grounds a short distance from Levin town centre.
We have 36 single rooms offering full residential care and services. We work with our residents to ensure they continue doing all the things they value most.
Recreation activities
Our residents enjoy a varied range of activities and outings, including:
- regular visits to the local RSA
- putt golf, petanque and indoor bowls
- bush walks
- arts and crafts
- cooking
- housie.
Rest Home
Moving into residential care can be a positive decision for everyone concerned. Our Rest Home supports older people who cannot manage at home. Enabling you to maintain your independence and privacy in home-like surroundings is our goal.
Hospital care
We have 25 beds offering full hospital care from registered nurses and qualified support staff.
Dementia care
Our Dementia care unit offers extra special care and attention for residents with dementia.
Day Activity Programme
Our day activity programme offers stimulating activities for older people who live elsewhere and a well earned rest for their caregivers and families.
Respite care
If you are caring for an older person, occasionally you need time out to refresh. Levin Home provides a place for the person you care for while you get the rest you need. It's a flexible service to suit you.
Respite care may be funded by your local District Health Board or you can arrange it directly with us and pay for it privately.
Rental Units
We have five rental units that enable residents to be fully independent with the comfort of knowing help is nearby if they need it.
Convalescence
We can look after people as they recover from surgery or illness. Our registered nurses and trained support staff provide meals and help with personal care for as long as it's required. This can be in our Home or yours.
Access our services
Accessing any of our services is easy and worry-free. You can be referred by a needs assessment agency or your doctor, or you can call us directly. Enliven will fit around your requirements - all you need to do is ask.
