Types of accommodation

Enliven positive ageing services offer a range of residential options to suit each resident's unique needs and lifestyle preferences.

Rest homes

Residential care can be a positive experience for everyone. Our rest homes enable older people to maintain their independence and privacy in home-like surroundings. Our services are designed to take into account each resident's day-to-day needs and emotional wellbeing. We'll do all we can to ensure residents maintain strong links with their family and wider community.

Rooms can be furnished with a bed, bedside table and a chair. We encourage residents to bring their own furniture and possessions, such as a TV, small fridge, paintings or bookcase. Each room has a call bell for safety and security.

Hospital care

Our hospital services assist people needing complex or specialist care, in a warm, caring environment. Our highly trained teams work with a local GP to ensure all residents' medical needs are attended to. Residents are welcome to retain a relationship with their own GP if this is practical.

Dementia care

The experience of dementia can be very challenging for both the person with dementia and their family. We look beyond the diagnosis and treat people as individuals, with respect for their life experiences.

We offer personalised care in a safe, peaceful environment that fosters companionship with other residents. Our varied, meaningful recreation programme includes regular outings and close contact with community groups, including the local Alzheimer's Association.

We provide dementia care in our Homes located in Palmerston North, FeildingHorowhenua, Wairarapa and Hutt Valley.

Retirement villas

We offer a range of retirement rental flats and villas throughout the lower North Island. In a Licence to Occupy villa residents can enjoy an active and independent lifestyle in a home-like environment, confident that help is nearby if needed.
